China’s Growing Influence in Global Beauty Innovation
PCHi’s importance lies in its clear focus and professional authority within China’s cosmetic ingredients sector. As the country’s preferred and only large-scale professional exhibition dedicated to cosmetic ingredients, PCHi serves as a vital gateway linking global ingredient technologies with the Chinese and wider Asia-Pacific markets.
China has become a core growth engine for the global beauty industry and a leader in the Asia-Pacific region. According to a 2025 projection by the China Association of Fragrance, Flavor and Cosmetic Industries (CAFFCI), the Chinese cosmetics market was expected to reach 1.1 trillion yuan (approximately USD 150 billion), firmly establishing China as the world’s largest cosmetics consumer market. At the same time, China is Asia’s largest beauty production base, with more than 6,100 licensed manufacturers and over 20,000 cosmetic registrants and filers, reflecting strong vitality on both the supply and demand sides of the industry.
Innovation in cosmetics begins with ingredients and formulation technologies, which form the core focus of PCHi. Built around its three pillars of Technology, Power, and Spirit, PCHi facilitates technical exchange between Chinese and international stakeholders, aligning ingredient innovation with formulation R&D needs and supporting beauty enterprises across China, the Asia-Pacific region, and beyond.
Organized by RSE, PCHi 2026 will bring together over 860 companies from 26 countries and regions across 70,000 square meters of exhibition space, showcasing the full spectrum of the industry, including raw materials, lab and testing services, equipment, packaging, and AI technology applications. Over 20 companies will unveil new products at PCHi, including launches for the global market as well as China-exclusive debuts, underscoring the show’s position as a leading platform for innovation and industry exchange.
