WOMA FORUM ANNOUNCES FINAL PROGRAMME: ON 25–26 JUNE MILAN WILL HOST GLOBAL LEADERS FROM THE PHARMA, HEALTHCARE, MEDTECH AND LIFE SCIENCES SECTORS

Milan becomes the international meeting point for the future of health. Less than two weeks to go before the event. Speakers at Allianz MiCo include AIFA President Giovanni Nisticò, alongside José Manuel Barroso, Jennifer Doudna, Zack Kass, Bertalan Meskó and Amy Cuddy, as well as representatives from Assolombarda and the City of Milan.

Milan, 12 June 2026 – Less than two weeks remain until WOMA Forum – Inspiring the World of pharMA, the new international event dedicated to the pharmaceutical, medtech, healthcare and life sciences industries, taking place on 25 and 26 June at Allianz MiCo in Milan.

Institutional Panel

The Opening Ceremony on 25 June will feature remarks by Emmanuel Conte, Councillor for Budget and State-Owned Companies of the City of Milan. The Institutional Panel will then bring together Nicoletta Luppi, Vice President of Assolombarda for Europe and Life Sciences and President and Managing Director of MSD Italia; Daniel Finocchiaro, Executive Director of AIRC Foundation for Cancer Research; and Federico Silvestri, Chief Executive Officer of Il Sole 24 Ore Group.

The programme on 26 June will open with institutional addresses by Giovanni Nisticò, President of the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA), and Emanuele Monti, President of the IX Commission for Social Sustainability, Housing and Family Policies of the Lombardy Region and Member of the AIFA Board of Directors.

International Speakers

José Manuel Barroso, former President of the European Commission – on whose behalf he received the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize – and current Chairman of Goldman Sachs International, will open the evening of 25 June with a keynote address on the New Health Economy.

On 26 June, the stage will welcome some of the most influential voices in science, technology and leadership:

  • Jennifer Doudna, Nobel Prize in Chemistry laureate and co-inventor of CRISPR gene-editing technology;
  • Zack Kass, former Head of Go-to-Market at OpenAI;
  • Bertalan Meskó, physician, researcher and founder of The Medical Futurist Institute;
  • Amy Cuddy, social psychologist, author and speaker whose TED Talk has been viewed more than 74 million times.

“We are witnessing an unprecedented period of transformation for the healthcare sector,” said Michele Barletta, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of WOMA Forum and President of BioPharma Network. “Artificial intelligence, biotechnology and new scientific frontiers are reshaping healthcare at an extraordinary pace. WOMA was created to provide a platform for dialogue where leaders and organisations can understand and navigate this change through a collaborative and ecosystem-driven approach.”
