Insights from the ADC Symposium 2026
The ADC Symposium 2026, held in Prague on 16–17 September and organised by TKS event organiser, publisher of Chemistry Today, brought together experts from across the antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) field.
During the on-site event, the Chemistry Today team interviewed selected speakers and industry experts to explore some of the key challenges, developments and opportunities shaping ADC development and manufacturing.
Erik Kratzer
In this interview, Erik Kratzer discusses some of the key challenges in ADC development and manufacturing, highlighting the limited availability of drug product (DP) manufacturing slots and the impact this can have on clinical supply and programme timelines. He explains why early planning is essential to coordinate method development, drug substance (DS) and drug product manufacturing, stability testing and the preparation of Investigational New Drug (IND) submissions.
The conversation also emphasises the importance of proactive planning and continuous communication across teams. By defining timelines early, actively managing risks and clearly communicating requirements and expectations, companies can better align manufacturing activities with regulatory milestones and help keep clinical development programmes on track.
